MultiMiner Highlights Dust Monitoring at Prague Earth Observation Conference
The beautifully restored Fanta’s Building at Prague’s main train station set the stage for this year’s Earth Observation Conference, bringing together experts from government, academia, and industry to discuss the latest trends and applications in Earth observation. Among the speakers was Veronika Strnadová, representing MultiMiner, who presented our work on the topic of dust monitoring, an essential topic in environmental and industrial research.
The conference introduced exciting updates, including the integration of the Copernicus program into the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. Sessions explored the diverse uses of Earth observation data beyond Copernicus, showcasing innovation and collaboration within the Czech Republic.
Over two days, attendees gained insights from lectures and workshops. The first day included presentations on Earth observation developments, followed by a social event in the historic Fantova building, fostering networking and discussions. The second day featured an international workshop hosted by the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), with practical sessions suitable for all experience levels.
MultiMiner’s contribution, focused on cutting-edge methods for dust monitoring, highlighted the importance of environmental management in mining and raw materials industries. The conference provided a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas and advancing Earth observation technologies in the region.
